Into all of our lives some rain must fall and a guy I made "friends" with a couple years ago via the IUSA just lost a loved one.
Mike Wade is his name and he's a retired Postal employee (somehow didn't get shot by a deranged coworker).
There was a time when I was "looking" in the direction of Florida/Alabama etc. just before the Hurricane. These guys go diving
almost daily (even at night) and have warm, clear water with a huge variety of fish. Property is dirt cheap...acre lots on a golf course $325..
You can see the shape Mike is in (see the main menu). He's almost as old as I am (is anyone that old) and he dives 80/90 feet. Sheri also has lived in the Hurricane zone for a number of years and never had a problem...but this last one got both Sheri and Mike, so I guess I'm staying "home".
A diver living in the desert?????   Really a good guy... Anyway...check out his main menu postings...seems like a good life.
Oh he's a rugged Macho guy like me...has two Poodles HAHAHAHAHAH

Mike, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mamaw. How lucky you are to have had her
for so long! And to have that wonderful relationship with her is another
blessing. I was also close to my grandparents and though they've been dead for
years I still miss them and cherish the memories I have of them.

Thanks for the picture Mike. Ma Maw looked so sweet and happy, just as I remembered her.
She was like a real grandma to me; always altering my dresses and cooking for me.
Every time she would call me Carla, I would just smile. She was so cute!
Take care.

Hello Mike, I am very sorry to hear about your Grandmother. You are in my prayers. If I can do anything let me know.
Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. Something happened to me Christmas night, I do not know if I dreamed it or
if the Lord took me and showed me Heaven, Words cannot describe It. Paul said it was un-lawful for him to tell it. I know what he meant!

Dear Mike, my heart is aching for your lose and my eyes are filled with tears. But I also can see how blessed you were to have had such a wonderful soul to influence your life. I am so happy you will have so many wonderful memories to carry you through until the day you are united with her spirit. For her, life is just beginning in the presence of our Lord. She is happy and content with more life than she ever had here on earth. I will be honored to see her one day. I will be praying for you for she no longer needs our prayers. May you be filled with a peace beyond any understanding. And know that not only is Father there for you,
but I am just a phone call away. Peace be still.

Mike,
I know it hard not to be down when you lose someone as special as your grandmother. I remember going over to her house to do some
chore or another. She was always trying to feed us. She is truly one in a million. Please remember there are still a lot of people left here
that care for you. You've been my best friend for so many years and my deepest wish is that we continue our friendship for a good many
years to come. Don't ever think of yourself as being alone... God can make you strong. And I'm here for you too. I love you man.

Dear Mike,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Grandmother. I did not know until Saturday night and I did not get your e-mail until yesterday morning. I was extremely close to my Grandmother too. I had never know that kind of unconditional love from anyone in my life except for her. She was my best friend. I lost her when she was 59. I think that I really do understand the void that you feel. For me there was never a relationship like it before or since. It was a once in a lifetime love. How wonderful that you had as many years with her as you did. I absolutely love the picture of the two of you. The love that you share is so obvious and so beautiful. I am happy for you that you were able to experience that kind of love. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the time to come as you try to deal with the loss of someone so special and important in your life. I hate that I never had the pleasure of meeting her. She looked like a very sweet lady. I'm sure that it would have made her feel so good to know that you shared your feelings and the picture of the two of you with so many people.
Take care.
Love,
Angie

Mike, Sorry to hear about your loss. Take faith in knowing that your
Grandmother isn't gone she's just in a better place waiting until you all get
to see each other again. Tell Robin hi for me.

Mike,
I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. What's really strange is that
you came to mind last week, and I was thinking how I needed to say
hello to you. Obviously she lived a full life and it's a true blessing you had
her in your life for so long. I was born after my Grandmother died, and my
other Grandmother died when I was young.
She's just one more angel you have watching over you.
Wishing you much comfort and love in the days ahead.
Lee

Knowing that you are grieving, I didn't want to bring up something as trivial as grass growing.  My heart is with you.  Seems like between the 2 of us we have lost some very special people.  Your dad, my mom, your grandmother, my grandfather.  It's very sobering for me to know I have no grandparents, and no parents, to guide my way. anymore.

I am so sorry to learn of your grandmother's death.... I told Jimmy just the other day,
I have not heard from you in a while and hope all was okay... I guess
you know the next door neighbors moved out and the Adam's Family is going to
move in June! Was it something we said?!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
