David Biron with a couple of late season flounders.

Water Temp was Cold and vis was around 5' with allot of particles in the water.   Still it was a marked improvement from the last time we tried so I suited up to give it
a try.
You could see the bottom if hunting along the edge of the break wall.  As soon as you were along the first spot, you lost sight of the bottom.  Maintaining a good body position in  6 ft of water was difficult.   I would dive down and level out ,  barely above the bottom and then slowly raise off the bottom  about 1 ft and start to look.   About 10 dives into the hunt I descend and  as soon as I level out and start to hunt,  I see this Gigantic flounder swim away for deeper water.  As I watched it swim,
I could hardly believe my eyes.  I just couldn't get over the size of the fish and that I was witnessing.  This was the 10+ lb' er  I had been looking for.  It does exist !   Besides the enormous size I remember thinking.... WOW .... look how THICK that fish is !  What a monster.   Evidently, I had spooked it by swimming so close to the bottom.  I'm going to have to work on swimming farther from the bottom in shallow water.  I watched the fish swim away and decided to hunt in its direction for a while hoping I may come across it laying on the bottom in deeper water.   Wasn't so Lucky ,   but I now had enough mental fuel to hunt for 3 more hours :-)
During this time I found 4 more fish  and ended up taking 2 of them,  2 lb. 11 oz.  and 3.5 lbs.

The fish were kind of sparse but it was all worth it  just for the glimpse of that huge fish.
